Mark Bryant has been in real estate since 1983. Four decades spanning South Carolina, Atlanta, and Western North Carolina — every market condition the industry can produce, including the ones that break other agents.
Before joining NC Mountain Real Estate in 2016, Mark spent more than 25 years in Atlanta as a commercial appraiser and dispossessory asset manager during the 2008 market crash. While most of the industry was scrambling, he was valuing distressed assets and managing foreclosures. That background shows up every time a client asks whether a rental property pencils out, whether a commercial building is priced to its income, or whether a mortgage fits the life they're actually planning to live. Mark applies the income approach to investment property analysis as a matter of course — something most residential agents simply aren't trained to do.
He moved to Sylva in 2016 to be closer to family and hasn't looked back. "Mountain time is slower than hectic urban time. Fresh air and well water does a body good."
Mark works primarily with investors, estate executors, and clients navigating commercial and income-producing properties throughout Jackson County and Western North Carolina.
When he's not at the table, he's standing in one of his carefully guarded trout fishing spots somewhere in the WNC mountains. He's not telling you where.
